Katherine D. Hartman has been practicing law for fifteen (15) years. She was
admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars in 1991, the Eastern District
of Pennsylvania in November of 1993, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in November
of 2002, and the Supreme Court of United States in October of 2002.
In August of 2002, Katie was named by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the
top forty lawyers under the age of forty.
Katie presents at numerous seminars throughout Burlington and Camden Counties
and the State of New Jersey. She has lectured on criminal law, employment law,
and civil rights.
Katie is a member and former trustee of the Burlington County Bar Association, a
trustee of the Burlington County Bar Foundation, member of the New Jersey Bar
Association Labor and Employment Law and Criminal Law sections, member of the
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, the National Employment
Lawyers Association, National Employment Lawyers Association of New Jersey, and
the Camden County Bar Association.
Katie’s primary area of practice is in employment law and civil rights as well
as criminal defense. Katie is an approved member of the Fraternal Order of
Police Legal Defense Plan, the PBA Legal Defense Plan, and the State Troopers Association
and Noncommissioned Officers Legal
Defense Plan.
In addition to her active practice as a litigator, Katie is a qualified Mediator
in accordance with Rule 1:40 and is on the approved Mediator roster.
